Denis Dufresne is a highly acclaimed artist, musician, and studio session performer, boasting multiple awards for his exceptional talents. With a rich and extensive history in the music industry, he has graced stages worldwide, collaborating with a diverse array of musical acts spanning various genres.

Starting his musical journey as part of the renowned fiddle supergroup, Barrage, Denis has evolved into a seasoned professional, lending his extraordinary skills to artists such as Jann Arden, Jim Cuddy, Shania Twain, Gord Bamford, George Canyon, Tom Jackson, Monday Night Football, GhostBoy, as well as contributing to television and film soundtracks, among many others. His mastery of the violin/fiddle and his prowess as a vocalist and instrumentalist have significantly contributed to the success of numerous beloved Canadian artists.

Since 1998, Denis has also been sharing his expertise by teaching both violin and fiddle, both locally in Calgary and across the globe. His teaching approach incorporates a blend of the RCM and Suzuki methods, and he has provided coaching for esteemed groups like the Bow Valley and Calgary Fiddlers.
