About Me
Janelle Wong is a dedicated junior violin instructor at Nirvana Academy of Violin who specializes in working with beginner students. She began her musical journey at the age of five, studying both piano and violin, and her early violin training included the Suzuki Method and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
For the past three years, Janelle has continued her musical development at Nirvana Academy of Violin, studying under the guidance of Miss Star and Miss Daria. As one of the strongest senior students at the academy, she has demonstrated a high level of commitment, discipline, and performance ability, completing her RCM Level 9 violin studies along with her music theory training.
Teaching Approach
Janelle has performed with orchestras and string ensembles in both Hong Kong and Calgary, gaining valuable experience in ensemble playing, musical collaboration, and stage performance. These experiences have helped shape her thoughtful and supportive approach to teaching young musicians.
As a junior teacher, Janelle is passionate about helping beginner students build confidence, focus, and a solid technical foundation from the very beginning. She is committed to creating a positive and encouraging lesson environment where students feel supported as they develop their skills and grow their love of music.
