Yana-Violin Instructor in Haysboro (SW)

Yana is an 18-year-old violinist pursuing a career in music. Two years ago, her family moved to Canada from Russia. While in Russia, Yana participated in prestigious competitions, including the Russian National Performance Art Festival named after M.M Ippolitov-Ivanov and the annual regional open festival competition “Bethlehem Star,” where she secured first place. In addition to the violin, Yana plays the piano and achieved first place in the second All-Russian Instrument Student competition.

In Canada, Yana has taken part in the Contemporary Showcase and the Amici String Festival. She is currently a member of the Calgary Youth Orchestra and is involved in teaching for the El Sistema kids string program. Since early childhood, Yana has enjoyed playing music and teaching others to learn her instrument.
