About Maria Jose
Maria Jose is one of our dedicated violin instructors at Nirvana Academy of Violin. Maria Jose earned her Bachelor’s in Music from Bellas Artes University in Cartagena, Colombia.
During her university years, her passion for teaching blossomed, leading her to impart violin and music theory lessons to children and young adults within the same academic institution.
She also served as the musical assistant to the conductor of the Youth Orchestra, further honing her skills in musical leadership and education.
Musical Career
Upon graduating, Maria Jose embarked on a career in music education. She taught music theory, ear training, and various musical instruments as part of early musical education programs in multiple schools throughout Cartagena.
Her dedication to music education has positively impacted countless students, fostering a love for music.
Maria Jose’s musical journey includes an impressive eight-year tenure as a violinist with the Symphony Orchestra of Bolivar.
In 2018, Maria Jose relocated to Calgary, where her dedication to music and passion for educating children continue to thrive.
