Grand String Orchestra is an extraordinary opportunity designed exclusively for advanced string player students in Calgary.
At the Grand String Orchestra, we pride ourselves on offering an outstanding experience. Students not only have the chance to showcase their talents but also to perform alongside the illustrious Richard Roberts, the concertmaster of the renowned Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the professor of violin at the McGill University.
As part of this exceptional opportunity, students will receive two invaluable orchestra lessons directly from Mr. Roberts himself, benefiting from his vast expertise and mentorship. Following these lessons, they will have the privilege of performing alongside him in a captivating concert, creating unforgettable memories and advancing their musical journey.
In line with Richard Roberts’ vision, the Grand String Orchestra will feature 8-10 first violins, 10 second violins, 4 violas, 6 cellos, and 2 basses.
Audition videos will be reviewed by Richard Roberts.
Join us at the Grand String Orchestra for a transformative musical experience that will inspire and propel young talents to new heights in the world of classical music.
