Sofiia, one of the accomplished violin instructors at Nirvana Academy of Violin.
Sofiia is a Ukrainian violin teacher with a BA in Music and Violin Performance. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Musicology, Musical and Theoretical Disciplines from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine.
Sofiia began her musical career at eight, studying under Professor Yarema Butkovskii. Her dedication to the violin led her to take master classes with renowned professors such as Evgenia Skrupchenko, Nadia Yatsyuk, and Lidia Futorska.
Teaching Background
Sofiia’s impressive career includes performances with the Lviv Chamber Orchestra’s Polyphony and the Folk Music and Dance Group’s Cheremosh, with which she toured internationally throughout Europe.
Sofiia has also performed at several international festivals and was a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Monterrey in Mexico, where she worked as a violin teacher at one of the city’s most prestigious academies.
Currently, Sofiia plays in the Calgary Civic Orchestra, bringing her rich performance background to the local music scene.
Her passion for early childhood music education and her extensive experience as an educator make her a valuable asset to the Nirvana Academy of Violin.
