Suzuki Book 1

Suzuki Book 1 A:

Songs 1-11 = 100 points per song

Redeemable at 1100 points

Description

The student is required to record a video playing the first 11 songs from Suzuki Book 1 (students who have finished all the book may record all the 17 songs instead and receive 2600 points in one shot).

The video should be recorded in one shot. The Suzuki songs must be played in order from the first song to song #11 with piano accompaniment, which can be done with either a pianist or an accompaniment audio file. All songs must be played from memory, and students must demonstrate good posture, intonation, and sound as though they are preparing for an exam or recital. Once the video has been approved by the teacher, it will be posted on the academy’s social media pages.

Suzuki Book 1 B:

Songs 12-17 = 250 points per piece

Redeemable at 1500 points

Description

Performing with accompaniment is preferred but videos without accompaniment will still be accepted provided rhythmic precision is demonstrated throughout.

Etudes

Level 1 = 100 points per etude

Description

Any level 1 etudes (studies) in the RCM technique book or equivalent are counted towards this reward package. Students must record a video with all level 1 etudes performed flawlessly, which includes having a consistent tempo throughout each etude. Etudes may be recorded separately at different times.

RCM scales and arpeggios

Level 1 = 1000 points

The student is required to record a video of themselves performing all the RCM level 1 technical requirements (all required scales, arpeggios, double stops, etc.). These must all be played from memory and must be recorded in one shot. The student should state the name of each scale, arpeggio, etc. before playing. Point rewards for RCM exams

Description

– Passing the theory exam with 95% or above = 5000 point (can be redeemed)

– Passing the violin practical exam with 90% or above (level 3-4) = 5000 points (can be redeemed)

– Passing the violin practical exam with 90% or above (level 5-6) = 7000 points (can be redeemed)

– Passing the violin practical exam with 90% or above (level 7-8) = 10000 points (can be redeemed)

Note: Student must be registered under Nirvana Academy of Violin to be eligible for the rewards.

Level 6

Redeemable at 6300 points
